Random update, mostly to get rid of that huge long saga thats been sitting on my page, since my subby will sadly expire in a few days, and I'd rather have a shorter journal up

Sooooo, I'm doing this project for my Behavior class on singing mice (native to South America). Singing mice are awesome. They sing. Well, they make this strange little call that kind of sounds like a cricket chirp. Anyhow, I'm looking at the difference between calling behavior of single females and females that have a mate (paired). I have one trial left to do for a single female and so far the results show that singles call more than pairs. This supports my hypothesis that the calling behavior is used in mate attraction, and thus singles would call more than pairs. None of my paired females have called. Its not an overly complicated study, and its only with 20 total trials, but its interesting, since not a lot of work has been done of these guys, and the calling behavior of females is typically overlooked since they call less frequently than the males.
